GFRP Pultruded Gratings
Background: Salient features / Benefits Light Weight: Being typically single piece pultruded profile, these structures are easy to transport and install. The enhanced strength to weight ratio in GFRP material- based systems makes it an effective replacement. Non Conductive: The property of electrical insulation from the material helps prevent accidental electrocution by faulty wiring. High Strength: GFRP materials gain their strength when fibers are set within a resin matrix. Fibers carry the load while the resin spreads the load imposed on the GFRP composite. Non Corrosive: GFRP materials provide long-term resistance to severe chemical and temperature environments. They are the material of choice for outdoor exposure, chemical handling and severe environment service. Key Application Typical manufacturing process: pultrusion DESIGN STANDARDS
GFRP Pultruded Grating is composed of 70% glass to 30% resin ratio. As compared to molded grating, these have greater stiffness, allowing spanning over greater distances. Best suited for those constructions where wide support spans, ADA compliance and close load bar is required like in pedestrian walkways and platforms. These gratings are offered in a variety of panel depths, sizes, tie bar spacing and open area.
